Attention To The Basics

Teachers notice things. Worn shoes, no boots in wintertime, a spring coat being worn in the dead of winter, tattered clothing.

Those teachers contacted us. We made sure the students received new shoes, boots, coats, clothing … that hundreds of other children discreetly receive things most of us take for granted.

It’s more difficult for children to focus, to learn and to become part of the social fabric when they have basic needs that their families can’t meet. We help meet them, on a case-by-case basis. Our student needs program serves as a clearinghouse for those who work with children – teachers, counselors, administrators – to find help in getting children the things they need to learn, grow and succeed.
